The Role of Tetra Hybrid Reinforcements on the Behavior of Aluminum Metal Matrix Composites

Hybrid aluminum matrix composites (HAMCs) are a new class of advanced materials that can be customized and engineered to achieve specific properties for applications in environments. HAMCs find wide range popularity the transportation sector because lower noise fuel consumption over other materials. This research aims synthesize, characterize, test physicomechanical characteristics tetra hybrid (SiC, Al2O3, Gr, sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA)) reinforced via powder metallurgy (PM) processing. Tetra were synthesized using pure Al with fixed wt% primary reinforcements (5 SiC 5 Al2O3) varying secondary such as 0.5, 2.5, 4.5, 6.5 Gr SCBA. It mainly focused on phase purity investigation XRD, thermal analysis TGA-DTA, surface area micropore size BET tests explore materials’ behavior newly HAMCs. The increase decreases both density porosity while increasing hardness compressive strength up certain level above which it begins reverse hard particles SiC, Vickers AS4 HAMC 10 (SiC+Al2O3) 9 (Gr+SCBA) improved by 446.40% 209.75%, respectively. showed superior compared single double As result, material is predicted have potential automotive, aerospace, defense, various structural applications.
